Indonesia is a beautiful country indeed. It consists of 17 thousand islands, that make my country very big. Yeah, Indonesia is enormous. And I think there’s no one in Indonesia that ever visited every islands or traveling to all destination in this country.

But, only less people that know Indonesia in the right way. Many people only knows that Indonesia is consist of Bali, Jakarta, and Lombok. But it’s not. Indonesia consists of 5 Major Islands that surrounded by some little islands. And if you think that Indonesia still not developed yet, you are wrong.

MRT Jakarta (kaorinusantara.or.id)

Even though we are not as developed as China or Singapore, we already lived in modern world for long time. Indonesia is unarguably modern. We already have MRT, and soon we will have shinkansen-like train in our country.

And nowadays, in the pandemic era, we need to bring our Smartphone anywhere. Because of what? The government will track us by using our smartphone. And we can access our vaccination card by using our smartphone as well. Not really far from modernization, aren’t we?

And even though many people said that Indonesia’s education is bad, and we recognized that. Indonesia is in the 1st position of trilingual country. Yeah, most of Indonesian are fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, as the national language, traditional language, and English. Even, there’s many Chinese Descendant that still can use Mandarin. Make them can use 4 languages. Cool aren’t we?

Indonesia, compared to other country (wowshack.com)

And last, many people think that we still live in the middle of the forest. Yeah, that’s not wrong, because we still have some indigenous people here. But, let me show you something.

We call it Avenger HQ in Merauke, Papua (detik.net.id)

That building are located in Papua. One of the Islands that even Indonesian thinks they still undeveloped yet. But, we have that big major structure. And guess what? People in Indonesia, especially in Papua, proud of that.

And that’s some misunderstanding about Indonesia. I love for being an Indonesian. Maybe I would love to go abroad, to chase my further career or studies, but I promise that I would always come back to my hometown. Because, Indonesia is wonderful. Indonesia is a wonderland.
